onAt Tracument Solutions Inc. we value innovation and collaboration, which is why we're excited, and honoured to be included in DeGroote Entrepreneurship Club (DEC) for The Boardroom Case Competition. This competition challenges students to solve a real business problem, compete with top talent, and present innovative solutions to industry leaders. In this blog, Neha Tayal, MBA candidate and DEC President, shares what the DEC is and what challenge they'll be tackling this year in the Boardroom.
From Classroom to Boardroom
At DeGroote School of Business, we believe that the best learning happens when theory meets practice. Our programs emphasize experiential learning, ensuring that students graduate not only with strong technical knowledge but also with the ability to apply that knowledge in real business settings.
We recognize that the leaders of the future are not just those who understand business concepts but those who can think critically, adapt to change, and develop innovative solutions in real-time.
This is exactly what we aim to achieve with The Boardroom Case Competition in collaboration with Tracument Solutions Inc.
About the DeGroote Entrepreneurship Club (DEC)
The DeGroote Entrepreneurship Club (DEC) exists to bridge the gap between business education and real-world problem-solving. We believe that entrepreneurial thinking, strategic decision-making, and leadership are critical skills for today's business professionals — whether they choose to launch their own ventures, or lead within established organizations.
Our mission is to empower students by providing hands-on learning experiences that go beyond the classroom. Through case competitions, industry collaborations, and networking opportunities, DEC helps students:
- Apply their knowledge in real-world scenarios
- Engage with industry professionals and build strong networks
- Develop critical problem-solving, strategic thinking, and leadership skills
Our goal is to prepare students to be future business leaders — not just in the classroom, but in the boardrooms, startups, and industries they will shape.
The Boardroom Case Competition is one of the ways we bring this mission to life — giving students a chance to step into the role of consultants, directors, CEOs and solve a real challenge faced by an industry-leading company.
Why The Boardroom Case Competition?
When we connected with Tracument Solutions Inc., a company at the forefront of document automation for the legal and healthcare industries, we saw a unique opportunity to collaborate and make an impact.
This competition is about working on a real business problem with a company that is actively looking for innovative ideas. Participants will get the chance to develop strategies that could have an immediate industry impact while gaining hands-on experience.
The Challenge
“How can Tracument efficiently acquire small and medium-sized clients in both legal and healthcare fields by leveraging an effective referral system?”
At DEC, we believe that the best way to prepare for the future is to start solving the challenges of today. That's exactly what we hope to achieve with this competition — empowering students to develop innovative solutions, build confidence in their abilities, and become the business leaders of tomorrow.
Welcome to the Boardroom. Let's make an impact together.
