onHappy Holidays: A Message from David Swadden, CEO
Happy holidays!
Tracument's staff would like to wish all our clients and readers a wonderful holiday season to round out the year. We hope you get time with family and friends, lots of delicious food, and some well-earned vacation.
We would also like to extend a special thank you to our clients, staff, and suppliers for making this year a great one.

Please note:
- Tracument's platform will be fully operational during this time. All services will be functional.
- Please expect delays with mail (it will go out each day we are open, but Canada Post gets backed up starting now and continuing until about mid-January).
- We will have a smaller support team between Christmas and New Year's. Please email support@tracument.com for fastest service.
Tracument in Numbers
Here are some numbers you might find interesting about our system from the past year (which you can see in our “year in numbers” infographic to the right / below):
- The most invoices sent in one day by a medical organisation was 13 invoices. The fastest time between an invoice being sent and that invoice being paid was 2m11s.
- In one day, a single user sent 27 different Secure Sends, and the largest binder sent through Secure Send in 2022 contained an astonishing 1,110 documents. We saw one Secure Send downloaded a mere 26 seconds after it was sent.
- The most requests sent by one user in a day was 56 requests, and another user was able to send an impressive 87 request reminders in one day using our platform. The fastest time between a request being sent and it being marked received in our system? That would be 1h11m.
- Using our digital couriers and paywall services, Tracument users saved an estimated 1,900 trees in 2022.
- Our clients saved an estimated $221,456.50 in material costs (paper, envelopes, etc.) and — more importantly — a total of 1,456 person-days.
Survey
Last year, Tracument completed a survey of legal professionals and published the result. We were very grateful to all the respondents and were very pleased with the information and insights the survey generated. If you have not already, please feel free to download your copy.
We will be launching next year's survey, with a focus on the challenges facing the legal industry, in the coming weeks. I invite you to respond again (or for the first time). This allows us to publish what we hope is a very worthwhile and helpful document and you can win some great prizes.
Thanks to all who will participate!
Charitable Donations
Tracument believes in giving back to our community.
This year, Tracument has supported local food banks, a Toronto organisation called The 519 that does fantastic work with 2SLGBTQ+ communities, and the CIBC Run for the Cure dedicated to preventing breast cancer and supporting those who are diagnosed.
We also support a number of professional organisations related to our clients, including OTLA, the BCLMA, Capilano University, Thomson Reuters, and the Canadian Legal Innovation Forum.
These organisations are dear to our employees for various reasons. Getting involved and giving back is one of the most rewarding things we do.
We wish everyone a fantastic 2023. Stay safe and healthy.
