Tracument Support Through the Upcoming Canada Post Strike

With a Canada Post strike expected to begin, professionals across the country may face delays in mail delivery. But with Tracument, you're not left waiting.

We have been here before, and we have built better solutions because of it.

During the Canada Post strike last November and December, Tracument delivered approximately 40% of all mail uploaded to our system using private delivery methods before the strike ended. That success was no accident. We acted quickly, adapted our processes, and made sure important mail reached its destination on time.

This time, we are going even further.

What We Did Last Time

  • Aggregated Mail for Courier Delivery:
We grouped mail going to the same location and used private couriers to deliver it efficiently. This saved time and ensured that more documents got where they needed to go.
  • Built a Postal Code Delivery Map:
To increase speed and coverage, we created a map of frequently used addresses in and around major cities. This allowed us to hand deliver to high-volume locations and reduce turnaround time.
  • Activated Digital Delivery via Full-Service Requests:
For clients using Full-Service Requests, we contacted recipients directly and sent digital versions of mail and payment requests. This meant no delay, even with the strike in full effect.
  • Coordinating with Canada Post:
While we're doing everything we can to keep mail moving, some mail will still need to wait. Canada Post has committed to processing mail on a first-come, first-serve basis once the strike ends. We'll be working closely with them to make sure each day's mail is submitted in order and handled as quickly as possible.

How You Can Help Us Help You

The more mail uploaded to our system, the more frequent and widespread our delivery routes can be. With higher volume, we can:

  • Increase the number of delivery addresses we include
  • Perform courier runs more often
  • Potentially deliver over 50% of mail even during the strike

We strongly encourage you to upload your mail as soon as it is ready. Even if Canada Post is not moving, Tracument is.
